Healthy Relationships – Did you know 1 out of 3 adult relationships is unhealthy? Learn what makes a healthy relationship? How to spot red flags seen in unhealthy ones, the “Love Mountain”, the continuum of violence, and more.

Communication Skills - At the root of every healthy relationship is communication. Do you use communication blocks when you speak? Are you responses passive, assertive or aggressive? Learn about active and nonviolent communication styles that will change your life and those around you.

ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and Neurodevelopmental Trauma – Impact on the developing brain, as well as physical and mental health.

Proactive Parenting – 16 week program

Description : Interactive and skills based, Proactive Parenting takes a holistic approach to parenting:

​

  • Part 1: includes five lessons on the individual parent– values, goals, self-esteem, power of positivity, developmental trauma/ACEs and impact on the developing brain, behavior is communication, self-care

  • Part 2: includes five lessons on relationships – healthy vs. unhealthy (balance of power), domestic violence, feelings and emotion management, needs, and assertive communication, importance and types of boundaries

  • Part 3: includes six sessions of Active Parenting (with adaptations based on current neuro science) - focus on raising courageous, cooperative, and positive children.

 

Topics include: styles of parenting, mutual respect, get rid of punishment and rewards, what is discipline, logical consequences (for certain children), goals of behavior, behavior is communication, problem solving with your child, avoiding power struggles, how to hold family meetings, family enrichment activities

Active Parenting – 6 week program

​

  • Active Parenting (with adaptations based on current neuro science) - focus on raising courageous, cooperative, and positive children.

 

Topics include: styles of parenting, mutual respect, get rid of punishment and rewards, what is discipline, logical consequences, goals of behavior, behavior is communication, problem solving with your child, avoiding power struggles, how to hold family meetings, family enrichment activities
